The Four Elements- 2004 exhibition,
The destruction of the everyday

For this exhibition, I managed to organise for my work to be shown in a derelict army building, which added to the atmosphere of the show due to the nature of the work being viewed. Over a five week period I renovated and rejuvenated the building so that it was fit for public use. Within these five weeks I managed to organise my time to take all of the photographs needed, organise lighting, presentation, marketing and advertising etc.

This was a multimedia exhibition comprising of portrait and reportage photographs, photo montage, video instillation projected onto turf, power point instillation, and a 3D water instillation. The photographs were divided into four sections, each representing one of the four elements and each reflecting the destruction and beauty which they can produce.

The exhibition received good feedback and was a great success. The exhibition was reviewed by 3 newspapers, in which the show appeared on the front page. From doing this exhibition I have gained exceptional organisational skills and time management skills. Consultation with large companies has improved my confidence and has elevated my communication skills.
